I think it's great that they are so abundant, that they get thrown back. That fish is not of the same good caliber of table fare as a Pacific Bonito which has much lighter colored flesh and a milder flavor.

If SE Florida, most anglers refer to Little Tunny as Bonito, which is in the Tuna family while Bonito is in the Mackerel. Little Tunny are most often thrown back, or cut up as strip baits as many fish love to eat them. The meat is super strong in comparison to all other Tunas, reminds me of a pacific skipjack. Once in awhile we catch Atlantic Bonito which is similar in table fare to the Pacific counterpart.
