FF worth servicing?
I've been running a Lowrance Mark 5X Pro for about 3 years. This last week the unit started shutting down after 10 to 15 sec. Found some corrosion where the cable plugs into the unit. I hit it with some contact cleaner and applied a dab or dielectric grease, but no dice. Doesn't even turn on now. Worth getting it looked at, or is it upgrade time? - Fishback |

Call lowrance, they will give you options to fix, exchange or upgrade. You probably have to spend some money...but what the hell, beats buyn a brand new unit for full price.

I had similar problem with a 1st Gen HDS5 that was on my boat when I bought it. They fixed the problem and updated the software for free. Turn around time was quick. Good luck |

Sounds encouraging. I'll give Lowrance a call today.
Thx - Fishback |
