LJ 12/24 - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

Headed out for some rockfishing; a first in La Jolla for me. I'm a bit old school (i.e. - cheap) so no electronics, and naive apparently as I figured I'd punch my way out to deep water and drift in limiting out along the way

. Using cut squid I caught a number of tiny to small whitefish but nothing worth keeping. Was visited by a group of grey whales which made the trip special but no bueno on my fishing.
