Lobster Season
I finally got my kayak ready to go for lobster season. With the season opener I was wondering if anyone plans group paddles to go hooping. My wife is not fond of me paddling solo at night so I was hoping to link up. I have one complete hoop rig and at least 3 more coming. Contact me if you are interested in setting up some hooping trips. I have maps, radios, navigation and lots of time on the water. |

I will be in Catalina for opener, but maybe later.
When they closed the Mole to hooping, I bought a kayak many years ago. Yet to try it. Most kayakers try Long Beach. All the best. |

the navy mole has been absolutely beat up the last few years, and i honestly dont know a nearby launch zone for it. I've seen a small launch ramp area inside of a yard thats maybe a 200yd paddle to the mole, but doubt if its public access.
I plan on avoiding the first month of lobster season while i work on fixing my boat. I have a kayak in case the boat doesnt work, and we can possibly link up. I know some spots that are only 1-2 miles from launch ramps (and fairly minimal boat traffic) that are not a secret. May reach out if I plan on yakking or even if i take the boat and you want to hang near us for safety.
