Islands on a kayak

Just wondering what you guys think about kayaking from that beach just on the over the Coronando bridge to the islands. I hear there catching Dorado out there. I've never been to the Islands, but I hear one of the islands is only 7 miles away.

I would not be quick to paddle into Mexican waters right now. and it is 7 miles from TJ, more like 12-14 from Coronado.

Thanks for you input guy. I had no idea that was Mexican waters. Looks like I'll stick to La Jolla. Besides, If I can't catch fish in La Jolla I'll probably get skunked out there too. That's a long way to peddel and get skunked. lol

Buy the way, Iceman. I see you always have a lot of good information on here. Thanx!
