Cabrillo Beach Inner Harbor.
Tried a few spots tossing swimbaits & drop shots. All nothing but the infamous Lizard Fish. Cast after cast, WFO annoying Lizard Fish. Then i finally get hooked on something bigger. 1st thought, "this must be a record lizard fish". Brought it to color then it dives straight back down, 3 times till it tires out. 1st legal Butt on a kayak @ 22inches, released.

Where to fish at Cabrillo can change on a daily basis, but looks like you found one of the good spots.
FYI; You can always use the boat ramp if you want to avoid the walk across the sand. Congrats on the your first legal
