Wind is picking up on top of big swell

Three hardy souls made it out to the kelpbeds off LJ this am. I plan to head to Boomer if the wind does not turn on-shore too hard. 1:30pm update, everyone blow-off the water now with white caps outside. Heading to Boomer now. Water looks both green and red today.

4 pm update: Surf was good wind is dying down and if you are good getting thru the surf it looks like it could be a nice evening on the water.

surf was substantial today and wind on top of it made it seem like an ugly day on the water. opted for surfing and it was easily overhead

I predict that in the early morning it will be dark, followed by about 15 hours of daylight, turning dark again in the evening.

Oh, maybe you are asking about the fishing conditions? Can't tell you about that but the surf forecast is for the waves to be getting smaller. One forcast has the sets coming every five seconds or so. Another says the interval will be 20 seconds. Short intervals mean that you will probably get wet during the launch regardless of the size of the surf.

Check out the links below the LJ Webcam image or on Larry's page here. http://www.larryl.com/favorite_kayak_conditions.htm
