My old stomping grounds. Stripers can be found here more typically July and August and into September before they migrate back into the bay. Great rockfishing. Lots of lingcod, ran into a lot of black and blue rockfish schools, cabs, greenling, etc. There is a reef just south of the jetty entrance and some kelp. Decent dungeness fishing when in season. More red and rock crabs off the rocks/structure. Poke pole fishing can be fun on the low low tides with easy access to the bottom of the jetty, sand will be exposed at the base of the jetty typically with a below 1ft low tide. Do watch the surf report. Standing on the north jetty could be deadly on any decent swell. South jetty is a little more safer. Typical pier fishing crowd on the south jetty especially during dungeness season. Sealions are pesky just as they are here. And of course the tax man is a local there.

I'm not familiar with camping but I do remember camper parking between the jetty and the 1.

Local stuff... they were building new shops and restaraunts last I was there. Other than that I never really hung out in the area. But the city isn't too far north and Standford area isn't too far east.

MLPA kicked in after I left. But here's a start... http://www.dfg.ca.gov/marine/mapregs3.asp
