Yes.....went home
If saltwater gets in that hole, it will ruin the motor. I repaired it in the afternoon ,it's ready. I'm going to add a piece, of aluminum angle for more strength.

Dude you should rebuild the steering in all aluminum or something that can withstand some abuse
