Finally got the chance to break my kayak in fishing for spotted bay bass last Wednesday. Since I usually fish for lmb, decided to give saltwater bass a try. I also got sick of driving long distances and paying entrance fees for lakes. Lol. End up fishing at Newport harbor. I launched around 2pm and fished till 6:30 pm. The bite was kinda slow in the beginning but later picked up 2-3 hours before sundown. Never fished for spotties before, but had fun them!

P.S I'm also looking for kayak buddies to link up with, especially to go out deeper. Been dreaming of catching me a yellow tail for quite some time.
