The barriers will be moved closer to the beach but access to drive onto the beach will not be allowed until at least Monday. The footing needs a longer time to cure. This info came from the city street division concrete supervisor.
It is likely to be open to foot traffic sooner. Kelvin

some say it takes 27 days for concrete to "cure"
hope they don't use that as the rule

A Full Cure is 56 days.
That is the point that concrete reaches its maximum PSI rating according to Vulcan Materials. I had some dealings with their company senior engineer. Lets just hope for next week. |
