swell sharks

this is one i need to check off from the surf. i've seen them in the hoop nets in about 30ft of water and even seen them caught right next to me on the shore line.

i know a pier or two where it can be done, even a jetty, but i want to put a check in the box for this one in the surf.

i know they are a common occurrence while hoop netting for lobster and drifting for halibut in the winter so that tells me they are a cool water fish, much like the 7gill.

I'd appreciate any info or locations anyone can give me that they've encountered this fish in. i don't care if its a bug spot, hali spot or white sea bass spot, you can leave those details out but a location, time of year and possibly depth would help a lot.
