Ventura harbor Saturday - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

Anyone fishing Ventura harbor?
This Saturday (the 7th of October)
With swell getting bigger this weekend I thought I would try a new place.
Going to try and be on water by first light
If anyone is going let me know I will keep an eye out for you.

was thinking of channel islands on Saturday. I have never hit ventura as that harbor and break wall are so small. Anybody have input on which is better?

got a couple of spotties near the construction site in the harbor, but with that rough surf the water was full of junk at the wall. Good times all the same.

Glad you where able to catch a few.
definitely A tough day. Spoke to a couple other people went out and they didn’t catch anything.
Now that I have Ventura scratches off my list. I will be focusing on CI when surf is too big for a beach launch.
