First Splash

Got my new PA wet for the first time yesterday...what a beautiful day...I love weekdays...I saw only 3 or 4 boats fishing the areas I was in all day.
I targeted the Bones first and found some nice big boys that are marinating in brown sugar, teriyaki, and ginger now and will be in the Traeger smoker soon.
There was a very aggressive Mako in the area and he got his share of fresh Bonito...it was really fun feeding him after he took his first bite.
There were lots of Bass on the Hookup Baits at the deep water bass spot but getting through the Macs was tough.
The rockfish were biting but again it seem like it was 80% little guys that had to be returned.

Cue the Jaws soundtrack...DUM DUM DUM...

No Makos were harmed in the filming...

Nope...he never hooked himself...I tried to feed him just enough Bonito so that the hook wasn't close...It's funny...even when they hit the fish that were caught on the troll, they never got hooked, in the last two trips.
