Cabrillo 6-14-19
On the water just a bit before 8. It was breezy in the morning and the water was pretty choppy but the fish were biting. The breeze died down a bit after noon and the bite slowed way down.
Surface temp was 60 in the morning and got up to 63 by 5. Final count: 19 Calico 7 Sand Bass zero snails Mostly caught on ultralight heavyweights jerk tubes. Dark green with red flake was the ticket today. |

thats quite a haul. did you launch inside and paddle out, or launch on the outside?

I too am interested as to where you launched. Looks like fishing was outside right?

Yes it was a nice day of fishing.
I always launch from the beach. It is a long way to paddle around the break water. Not as much kelp as there was last year but still lots of fish out there. Mostly little guys though. Hope to see you out there. |
