San Diego Bay 7/15/22
Don't know if it's from the full moon or summer but the bay was teeming with bay chovies. Made the journey to the bait barge to pick up a scoop and headed to Spanish landing for a shot at halibut. Picked up some large spotties as by catches but no luck this time around for the target. Had a short halibut chase a raked bait to the kayak which was cool to see. Guessing everyone is stuffed on all the bait that's around. Tide was low moving to high. Hooked up some horse sized greenbacks by the bait barge that would have been perfect for LJ. Anyone have luck loading up on these macks and trolling out in Point Loma? - TY |

Greenbacks are great anywhere. In the bay for hali, they may keep the smaller bi-catch away. Outside, off Pt. Loma, the bigger calico's love them, and you always have a chance at yt.
