NORTH IDAHO FISHING
I'm currently looking to move to the Northern Idaho area. The area I'm looking at is coeur d'alene, Postfalls, and hayden and surrounding areas. How is the kayak fishing in this area? I have a PA 14 and was wondering what kind of fish are there and is there many people up there that are kayak fishing. All advice is welcome.
Thanks |

Pretty great smallmouth bass fishing in some of those lakes. Walleye taste pretty awesome, too.

There is a kayak fishing club up there, but i can't remember the name of it. They have several species of Trout and land locked Salmon. Also some LMB and Muskie. There are some very good lakes to troll in, both shallow and deep. Apex lures and large flies are the main trolling pieces, but they also jig for them. The lake fish are very skittish, so kayak fishing them is probably the ticket. Coeur d' Alene has a nice big lake, and so does Sand Point just up the road.
