9/27 Dana Point Full Moon Halibuts
Hi I went to Dana Point 9/27 on the water 6:30 AM bait is prefect size sardine Very light wind and I found that there was No surfers because almost Zero wave at beach so It's good time to fish close to beach without bothering surfers
At 7:30 I got 30inch halibut It's been really long time I caught this big one usually barely legal or just over After that like usual , leopard sharks attacked(5-6) , small white seabass And around 11am I got second halibut , barely legal one It was really nice day ,thanks for reading my report |

Nice. I haven't targeted halibut from my kayak for years. You're giving me the motivation to do it again. Maybe next year.

Awesome catch. Still trying to get a bigger flatty there. Mine are always barely legal and under. But a fun place to fish when the swell is small. Hope to get out there one more time this fall.
