no pictures but a report none the less
Hit lj on wednesday. Launched around 7. Made bait for about an hour. Only caught half a dozen mossbacks. Trolled around for a little while and then decided to drift a 3 oz carolina rig mackerel about 2.5 miles from launch in about 120 ft of water. New Seaforth rolls on by real close, so had to turn into it's wake. Two minutes after NS passes, reel goes off. 5 mins later, I see my first WSB ever. Was 32 inches long and weighed only 14lbs. May not be a monster, but still my trophy WSB. Shared it with friends and family and was delicious. Now determined to catch more this year. Hopefully I don't have to wait another 6 years like this first one.
Nice seeing you out there again Oscar and Chris. |
