sounds like a ninja mission!! I'll be lucky if I can make it out of bed in time for a sunrise launch. I'll be in a lime green Stealth 14.

Ok, so here's exactly my plan of attack for this trip.
Arrive 3:00am to set up Under almost full moon paddle out Find 70-80 ft water off the point, set down two dropper loops with two dead squid on each. Target: WSB Moon sets at 3:58, first light at 5:11. So be prepared for an hour of pure darkness; i.e., back-up flashlight, glowstick, etc. First light reeling in to make bait, looking for mini-macks and sardines One heavy pole has dropper loop at bottom for WSB, one heavy pole fly-lined dine or mini-mack for yellows, and med/heavy pole with surface iron to throw it there are sightings of yellows. All while scoping out for birds/bait. Attempt this until I can't keep my eyes open or kayak afloat from dead fish piled up on it( ). And most likely cursing at seadogs.I think there are three of us so far. Hope to see the rest of you out there at sunrise. Cheers |
