Guy's Danny is right last week there were 26 commercial pangas launching and landing from our beach. They will be here for at least two years. Most of them run to Punta Final area and they are mostly netting Sierra at night in deeper waters. Our beach is where the Mexican Government allows them to launch in the area. These pangas are mostly netters with a few Hook and liners thrown in. They do not to like it loose their gear so they STAY AWAY from the rocks. Last week I watched some of them unload. I saw 2 YT, 4 Cabrilla, a snapper and TON's of Sierra. Yes they can affect the local fishing but are not set up to fish most of the species we target. Tight Lines.

We also hired one of them to take us out

I would imagine they made more money for pretty much a nice day in the water haha

The “yak” has been all “dolled” up and ready to go with a lots of accessories.
I will be leaving LA around 9:00 PM tomorrow, to miss the rush hour traffic.

First stop is Pechanga Casino to see if I can make the trip free, or help pay their electric bill!

Attention my fellow travelers:
Sorry I did not post this here before; I have two kayak seats for sale if you need one. If interested I can post picture here or to your PM.

They are both Surf to Summit units. One is used and for only $40.00. Thin seat, but back pocket and rod holders.
Other one is brand new and has thick seat. No back pocket or rod holder.$100.00
Anyone who is going and wants to see pictures please let me know ASAP.
When I get back I will post them on the other board.

Bob,

Your 10:00Am PM indicated that Paul is coming alone and not with us.

The above says you are waiting for him.

Either case we will see him at the Bay.

Leaving in few minutes. No sleep for me till tomorrow night.

Caught my first YFT from the kayak this morning. Wish I had a nice off shore adventure story to tell but I caught it in 100 ft of water fishing for calicos with a megabait. I'll get a photo up in the morning. Dreadfully slow speeds in the middle of the day.

I only stayed there 2.5 hrs.

There was road closer on 91 which added a lot time to the trip.

I did however, won back $3.00 of my loss from last Saturday.

Loved the CD. Kept me awake. Thank you.

Bob,

I have been working on the report already. Like a good wine, it takes time to make it a good one.

Any map suggestions & food schedule

Looking for best road map(s) (for 4x4 as well) for the Bajas w/contours and relatively up to date. If it includes the Pacific w/depth or landmarks, even better. Also aNy for my trucks GPS? Definitely need something for the Asuncion.
I will do dinner on the 25th. Maybe ceviche, rockfish, etc since I will have a few days head start on you guys. I will try to load up on produce at Trader Joes Sat AM b4 crossing the border - hopefully it will last until Wed. Plus some craft beer as well.
Any food allergies?
