MAKOVILLE update/hype/pics/information/status

Just got back from paradise. Weather cooperated well and the fishing was nothing short of phenomenal. We spent some time cleaning and organizing the camp/kitchen in between smashing modelos and fish. Some notes:

There is some smoked salmon bellies in the fridge for whoever wants them.

We left money in the kitchen to fill up at least one water tank. Luis said he would handle it as I couldnt get a hold of Ray while I was there.

I also left some cabrilla vacuum sealed in the deep freezer along with two frozen gallon jugs for Sivak. There's two more in the fridge/freezer.

We could use some hand/dish soap. I got OCD and did all the dishes and even dusted. Left some rags in the kitchen as well. We have a zillion napkins but more paper towels would be good as well.

Please use trash bags and at the end of the trip just across the main road there is a landfill where you can dump it all.

Day one I wrestled a kraken with a midshipman in its tentacles. We had it at the restaurant con queso and as usual was a delicious addition to our cabrilla tacos.

Day two we got a ride out to the islands from Miguel. Water was pea soup green on my favorite dive spots so I slept while everyone else caught some decent sized goldspot cabrilla with squid and small yellowtail trolling rapalas

Day three we trekked to a secluded beach with not a soul around. Saw many. Took a few. PM me if you're in the trip and I'll give you the dope. Easily kayakable.

Managed my PB cabrilla three times in one shoredive. 17. 19. 22.

Punta final was windy and the tide was too high to make for fun fishing so we didn't stay long but it's always a fun drive in and out. Shout out to my friends who had never been to our camp who are undoubtedly hooked on Baja. Huge shoutout to my lady as well for being badass sidekick.

Have fun. Be safe. Kill some fish.

Wow sure looks like you had a great time. Will be bringing down a Costco pack of paper towels next week. Might have to sample some of the smoked salmon bellies, thanks. Nice looking Cabrillo too, great job. Thanks for taking the time to share.

Right on my friend. Everyone was excited to hear you'll be returning.

Some more pics from a friend.

I think that was Luis and that is where he wants to build the new restaurant.
Dont think I can sleep the next few nights, but I'll be out like a light on Sunday night. Tight Lines amigos.
