Public lands sale

The budget reconciliation bill that is going through the senate has a lot of poison pills but the sale of public lands will affect us fishermen and hunters the most! Check out this map of all the areas that will be for sale to timber, mining and fossil fuel interests. Once this land is taken from the American people, we will not get it back!https://wilderness.maps.arcgis.com/a...4a0e80-layer-2

It doesn't matter your political persuasion, if you trout fish, this affects you. Up for sale is a large section of the east side of the kern river, including areas around the south fork and some of the last refuges for our native golden trout. Upper sections of Hot creek, large swaths of local national forest including local native rainbow trout habitat and blm land will put our recreational opportunities at risk.

What can you do? Call our senators and tell them to fight and vote no. Call Darrel Issa and tell him you don't want this. Join land conservation groups like the Teddy Roosevelt Conservation Partnership and donate so their lawyers can sue to stop it and lobby congress.

Too late

Too late. The land grab and other crap along with misleading information will go on for the next 2 - 4 years. If not longer.........

You can fold or you can fight. That's up to you. I'm just giving the info so those who want to can make some calls, send some emails, spread the word. From what I hear it's starting to spread and be effective as people all over the country and the political spectrum agree on this.

What we need to know is:

WHO is going to buy the land? Why?
What is their connection to the politicians and cronies that even brought this up?
Who determined we need to sell the land? The land is "public" for a reason.

With this information, we don't need to fight. Just vote! And if someone voted for one of these politicians, then they just have to accept what they have done and do more due diligence when applying our powerful tool.

"VOTE"

This is not a political forum, so I will restrain myself further on this topic.
