heading out Thursday afternoon - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

working near la jolla tomorrow.going to give it a shot.i never been fishing at the shores but want to give it a shot.never surf launched any advice for a newbie.not looking to catch a fish of a life time just think i will stay in kelp.i will be out at about 4:00 pm for a few hours before sunset.any info will be greatly appreciated

Don't fish in the preserve. Head directly west past the big yellow bouys, then you are ok to fish. Here is the area from the dfg

Bring your wheels the beach has been torn up lately. Surf has been small and easy to get out. Bring a sabiki to catch some bait. Have fun. I will be out there as well.

i was not to sure about the reserve.will bring sibiki not to sure where to find bait

Do tou have a fish finder? If not drag your sabiki around a bit and you will get something.
