Christmas Eve LJ - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

Headed to LJ right after work and on the water by 10AM. Another perfect day. Clear sky, no wind, good bait, and no crowd. Whales everywhere, I must have seen about 10. SOme came with in 10-20 yards of me. Only saw one other yaker.
Dropped the yoyo at bait balls and possible marks for no luck, headed out to 120ft with fresh dead squirts.
Got a visit from Drake and friends, gave me cold beer and mini macs!

Totally made my day, those beers hit the spot after a long peddle

Drifted the mini macs for a while, got a few chewed on but no good hook sets. Need a bigger treble. Dropped some fresh dead on some good marks over a rocky structure and pulled up these for ceviche
