Hubbs has been trying to pull this off for at least 15 years. Maybe with a hedge fund behind them they can make it work.
The whole argument of feeding the masses is a complete fallacy. Many farmed fish are a premium product and quite expensive. Too pricey to feed the poor. The other draw back to farms like this is the food for the fish is usually made from wild caught fish. 10lbs of sardines to make 1 lb of salmon is value added but a losing plan for feeding people.
