Sunday 08-22-10 - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

Launched at 200am sunday, made squirts, then started drifting through the floatilla. NE wind, N current, 62f water, clear with a bright waning/full moon. White dog gets his two before I even get picked up and at greylight all the crusty drunks are shouting "its over we're limited an going in" when I get hit hard on the spectra rig. She fought like a champ and kelped me in 70 ft of water. Another 10 minutes later i had my PB

at 41.5 lbs, with no gaff. Landed at the shores before the sun was up over mt soledad and theres ten dudes gearing up "get out there guys!!"
Everyone who was up early got fish. Good times with Trever!
