first halibut - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

my son and i went to mission bay today to scope things out for next weekend's tourney. we went to oex and signed up with cj. it's our first tourney and we're really excited, and today was our first time fishing m/b. while searching for bass around the bay i accidentally hooked my first flattie, a 27" halibut. i hope my picture posted, my son is holding the fish and he was almost as excited as me.
