I always see them there, and by the 'point' on the opposite side, hanging out in the weeds. When I was a little kid we used to tie trebles and try snagging them when they were all crowded by shore. Probably not the most ethical or efficient way, but it was fun as hell as a 12 year old.

Sabiki is the way to go, like sdcoastie said, bread will make them crazy.

All this halibut fishing...now I'm gonna have to go build a bait bucket for the damn kayak now.
