That is correct. If like my unit the chords and transducer are no longer used and there is no units available that use it, then you get new chords and transducer as close to the same specs. Same with mount, braket, etc. Take the HDS 7 Gen2 Touch, sweet deal, actually very similar to the Elite-7 TI. Also remember if they have rebuilt units that is what you are getting. With something so new and hot like the Elite-7 TI, it's probably new, not rebuilt.

By the way, they clipped me pretty good on taxes and shipping. Didn't expect that. Shipping was normal, like $12.50 but I didn't expect them to collect sales tax. Still I got the unit for slightly over $300 less than the going MSRP + insurance, no taxes, but half a year less in total warranty.

Think of it this way. You got a unit that doesn't work at all, worthless. Worse comes to worse just sell the replacement and pocket the extra coin or apply to something different.
