Finding Submarines

I spent 17 years in the Navy running sonar, and I understand a lot about how they work, and how water conditions affect the sound, and how it is important for the transducer to be in the water.
That being said, I definitely appreciate the tips, and a little schoolin after a HOW event sounds great!
Finding a submarine is a lot different than finding a fish. I imagine that an ultrasound tech could teach us a lot about tellin if its a boy or girl too.
