If you are not centerline will the transducer face straight down? In my simple mind, if it is shooting even a little off center you will reduce performance.
If you were to mount it in front of the mast, couldnt you goop in a protective cover, a shell of some sorts over it? This way when you throw junk in your front hatch your baby is protected. |
