Exactly what it is. And it will work with all rudders.
There should be a notch on the underside of the back hatch as well as the center hatch to hold the spare pin.

True-dat. The rudder pin has nothing to do with the how the rudders are mounted

Thanks for all the informative and funny answers, I like it.

At first glance I thought it was part of the Flux Capacitor, there is a 1.21J stamped in it.
