I have two halibuts in that range under my belt...
the first was 40.5" and weighed 27.5 lbs...
the next was 42.5" and weighed 30 lbs...
So I'd say depending on how fat he was, a 41"er should be 28-30lbs...
give er take...

Now that is hot, new kayak and PB on the 1st trip out. Congratulaions. Looks like a solid 25 lbs+, upper limit guess judging by the photos 32 lbs.

Thanks. Everything that I had just bought was covered in blood or halibut slime by the time we got back to land. And the hali barely fit in the front hatch Forgot to mention we got checked by DFG just before we left as we were packing everything away.
