On fishing this rig for halibut is the idea a grub or a swim bait and cast it out and bounce it along the bottom on the way back? Having no clicker on it means it's. Of really a live bait reel unless I were to like Carolina it and drift with it in my hands right?

I do tend to go lighter on the tackle when I fish, a bit more challenging to me. I fish the halibut with live bait around the kelp patches, sliding sinker setup. Have caught quite a few BSB fishing for hali's too.
