You dont move much in a kayak so get something that will keep you dry and or warm if needed. They sell the hodgemens for 40-50$ on ebay and that will last you a long time on a yak. Im gonna get me one too pretty soon and i want a hodgemen.

the "get what you pay for" statement is true, I have had a pair of Simms for about 4 years, they go on the kayak when surf launching or threat of weather, they go to the Sierras about 4-7 times a year they go to the beach when surf fishing, and they are still kickin'...but when I purchase another pair they Will have a zipper....out

I just got back from the Sports Authority in Oceanside and they had these on sale 50% off. They seem confortible but no zipper.
