Way too tired to post after chasing Nelz yesterday. But what a PERFECT day to be out there.

I got my buddy, Greg, out on his first and the maiden voyage of the Prowler 13. Early in the day he'd bird's nested his bait reel but figured if he got a bite he could stop the fish before it got to the mess. Sure enough, he got hammered late in the morning and the yellow busted his nest. Would have been nice to have gotten him his first.

On the way in from the NW, Greg, Gabe, and I ran in to the busting yellows. They would come up in the distance and we'd paddle and they'd sink. Finally I just sat at around 95 feet off the CP and waited for them to find me. They did. I threw my 7x white on 30# at a crowd of yellows and one of them grabbed it and headed towards deeper water. It sure was nice to hear line peel off like that - hadn't heard it in forever. After a short fight I landed and bled it without much fuss.

Around 12 to 12:30 it seemed to just shut off. Good luck out there.
