I used to like the sabiki rods, but now i just use a regular rod and deal with it. If you ever get the sabiki stuck inside the rod which does happen...your gonna be pissed. You accidentally wind the line too far and have to rethread it ...your gonna be pissed...your sabiki hooks get bent a little and now it wont wind into the rod...your gonna be pissed...not to mention its a friggin broomstick and not sensitive enough for those light bites...its a half ass rod at best and really has no other use than to make bait. A regular rod can be used for everything so its the better choice in my opinion.

Oh yeah a squid jig gangion cant be wound into it either....yeah some bait stick...

I have one, I used to use it a lot and it works well for catching bait and keeping your sabiki stored. I just cant justify having a rod holder taken up by a sabiki rod anymore so I don't use it.

If someone wants it I'll sell it for $30 its 7' and made by "Eat My Tackle"

Tony hit it on the head. X2
(I know of at least 15+ people off the top of head that have hooked into monster yellowtail while making bait on a sabiki purely by mistake..
Some get lucky by tangling several hooks fouling the yt or wsb into submission, while others purposely place a iron on the bottom instead of a sinker, while others fashion a hook onto the end of their torpedo sinker..
Broomsticks dont fight well..& Ya never know when you or a buddy might need that extra set up that would have otherwise been a flagpole taking up space..

Keep it simple.

If it breaks or if I lose it I'll just grab a spare light action rod that I have or buy something cheap at the swap meet.
