I'm still go to start hitting the ocean for Halibut. I was just watching Greg Andrew #45 Halibut video. It looks like a lot more fun pulling the up from deeper water.

i pulled up a 30# from 120' 15lb test on a bass rod. felt just like i was pulling up the bathroom rug. boring as hell to me until it got 5 feet from the boat it blew up then right on the gaff that one was the biggest halibut ive caught and didnt have much fight to it in my opinion. thought it was a bat ray that didnt know it was hooked for a few minutes while bringing it up initially.... bass are my thing if halibut are yours by all means go get em!

30# halibut...Boring huh? You should probably go back to raccoon city and go kill some more zombies, im sure you'll have more fun doing that than fishing for 30# halibut....

Likewise Dano. Let me know if you're ever looking for someone to fish with.
