Sorry for the assumption, I just don't know how you can lose that many sinkers to a fish that is easily landed on your lap and hook retrieved out of mouth with a pair of pliers. Unless the taxman or a seal came up and ate your leopard shark. Is this what happened jorge? 😁

First thing I thought was drop shot or similar rig that the shark bit through. Jorge did tell me once that leopard sharks gave him nightmares though so you might be onto something yakdonut.

Some people learn from their own mistakes or experiences

Me, I learn from my own and and the mistakes and experiences that others have made

Tony hooks up

Tony's got a big fish!!!!

Tony grabs the shark

Tony wrestles the shark

weird, there was a fish finder there just a minute ago

I guess the one mistake that I made was that I had my Leopard Shark rig and not my halibut rig.......darn!!!

Talking Sharks

They're kind of like dogs, they can kind of bend in half. Just because you have the tail, doesn't mean you are in control of the business end!

Leopard sharks are definitely dangerous, I hate catching those things. If you bring them up on to your lap....well you can see what can happen. They're super strong and they can roll on a dime...a lot of times your sinker will already be missing when you bring the shark up, just due to the shark rolling around and biting at whatever it thinks is trying to get it.

Yeah I don't know why anyone would try to boat one. a hook or a sinker isn't worth it
