They're great reels Mike.
Think of it this way…the 20 and the 30 are the same spool diameter, with the
30 being a fraction wider. Same thing with the 40 and the 50.
Solid performers, can take a hell of a beating, easily maintained, and very affordable, especially when 40% off retail. I ran them for years before I switched over the lever drags. Now my brother owns them all.
I have one Daiwa, a Saltist 40, on my jigstick for surface irons, and that's just because I can cast a star drag much further than I can cast a lever drag, and I run straight mono.
