Depends on the paddler, the kayak, and your technique. Most guys are paddling a 230 or 240cm

You need to take into account the height and reach of the paddler, plus the particular boat your using it on and your paddling style.

I'm a high angle paddler. On one my yaks, I use a 210cm and a 230cm on the another. I use the 210 on one, to keep tracking straight without having to focus too much on paddling. On the other, I bang my knuckles on the side of the yak with anything shorter.
