Here's a report I posted up on SCSurffishing.com
........

A friend of mine (from BWE) and I hit up Huntington Harbor on our yaks this Saturday and Sunday morning just after sunrise until about 10am. The weather was pretty overcast on both days with the sun poking out around 8:30 or 9, I think. The harbor was super calm, like glass, but due to the recent rains, the water was very murky and had a lot of random pieces of trash floating around on Saturday. Sunday was a little better.

Anyhow, I managed an average of maybe 8 or so spotties and sand bass with a few pictures below. We had a great and relaxing time, and I learned a few lessons, that I totally took for granted - one which was to make sure your drag was set properly. I switched out my 6# mono for 15# braid on Sunday, and of course, tightened my drag. Halfway through the day, I added a 6# floro leader and left the drag as is. I swear, it always happens, but I got SLAMMED and it put up a good fight, but broke off about 10 seconds into the fight.

Anyway, my friend took a video highlighting some of his catches, and you can see one of my fails at the end haha.

Please subscribe guys, as he plans on going out alot with his new camera and will upload more cool videos periodically (hopefully I'm in some of them again).

Looks like a fun time! One of these days I'll have to get down there to HH and give it a try...
