Macks are like any other fish, they don't always want to bite. If you're fairly sure they're around putting a bit of bait on the sibiki can help. If you're searching and covering water trolling a small spoon can let you know when you find them. When I fish on a buddy's skiff we chumm cat food some times. Never tried that from the yak. If youre catching Spanish go ahead and keep some and replace them with greens if you find em. Cause then if you don't find greens you still have bait. Greens maybe better but Spanish are still good baits. I've caught yt in LA Jolla on smelt when that us all I could catch. Mike.
