I wouldn't try a Mako even that size by myself on my kayak, nor with Julie helping me, as I wouldn't want to see her get hurt, even as brave as she has shown.

We've both landed Threshers close to the 100lb. mark, and both have brought Makos alongside our 'yaks while fishing together, but decided against the potential for injury. The ones we brought alongside were approximately the size of yours, and looking quite pissed off those times.

I love eating both Mako and Threshers, with Threshers the only fish I'll order in restaurants. I'd have to try them side by side and cooked the same way to make the call on which tastes better.

Congrats on the brave, great and tasty catch.
