Do we sleep under sky or in a tent?
That's a good question. For an overnight trip, I'm thinking I bring the kayak, a couple of rods, small box of lures, sleeping bag (no tent but maybe a lightweight tarp in case of unexpected rain), water (2 gallons/per person?), and food for two days.

I doubt there'd be room (or need) for a cooler, but I guess that depends on how many people go. I'll probably pack like I'm backpacking (every ounce counts and not taking anything that isn't absolutely ESSENTIAL). I may bring my jet boil with some oil/spices to cook fish.

I'm not taking anything I couldn't carry on my kayak to paddle back to the mainland in case our ride back doesn't show up
