Best way to mount transducer? Hull vs scupper? - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

I too have a Cobra fish n dive. I have my transducer mounted inside the hull and it has worked great for me. I did not want to mount it through the scupper because it would stick out to far and might get damaged and I think that is what you are thinking as well.

By the way I have a humminbird 383c ff.
