Typically move well off the kelp looking for deep structure. Last year 160 feet was the place to be. Salas 6X and 6X Jr in blue and white or blue mac proven winners. Your 3 way swivel set up has been my choice over dropper loop fishing. I would be surprised to see coastal squid in any number this year. There is probably still a few more weeks of good surface fishing possibilities though.

For deep yellowtail the banjo minnow or helicopter lure are proven.......
