There is a line of buoys. You can also use Navionics Boating app for plotting your route and waypoints. Chartplotter on a FF?

Buoys are in the reserve. You have to go past them unless they have been recently re-positioned.

A chart and a compass is fun if you're dead reckoning. Once you get your bearings, you can pretty much see where you are, unless it's foggy. If you're not familiar with the area, there's a lot of water out there. If you get in trouble, do you have a radio? Be safe.

No radio yet so I'm staying in the bays. Mission Bay was really nice today, a lot of shorts so nothing to call a keeper but I had fun anyway. Light tackle makes it fun.
