thx...wasn't expecting a ling nor did I go out seeking one today. I'll take it. Might have to try again depending on the taste. I'm sure I'll like it.

Nice catch!
I might be wrong, doesn't green fillets usually indicate a Cabezon instead of Ling? That would be a monster Cabezon. If Lings have green fillets too, my bad. It's been so long since I've caught a Ling, I can't remember if they have green fillets too.

I dont think cabezon have teeth like that. Lots of lings are blue as are the fillets.

I believe so... cabs mouths look like a large mouth bass from the photos I've seen....

I did some googling when I caught it...I've seen pictures of both with the green. Ling have big teeth and are long and skinny.

They are pretty tasty now that I tried one...
